Taking a Rental Car to a Wine Tasting in Italy

Filed under: Car Rental Italy - 07 Nov 2008

Two years ago, I went to the Monta Food and Wine Festival in Italy. Monta is a town that is located in northwest Italy. I had never been to Italy before, but one of my friends had been there, and she told me that the Monta Food and Wine Festival was not something I could miss.

Because we weren’t staying in Monta, we got a rental car to get from where we were staying to the city of Monta. Once we arrived in Monta, there were several hundred people that were starting to gather. After figuring out what we were supposed to do, we got a basket, and began walking along with the rest of the group. The group was quite enthusiastic, and it didn’t take long for their energy to rub off on us. We made our first stop (where we got wine and bruschetta), and for the next couple of hours, we continued to walk with the group and stop quite regularly for amazingly good food and wonderful wine.

The day was great, and as we were driving back to our hotel in the rental car, we had a lot of laughs recalling many of the fun events that happened throughout the day.

Get a Rental Car in Italy from Hertz

Filed under: Car Rental - 28 Oct 2008

Italy is one of the best places that I have ever visited. I took a trip there with my best friend last year, and for seven days, we truly had the time of our lives. From eating amazing food to meeting great people, our time in Italy was filled with so many memories that I will always treasure.

If you are like us, when you go to Italy, you are going to be doing a lot. Each and every day of our time in Italy was picked with a countless number of activities to do and destinations to see. Because we were going all over the city of Italy every day of our trip, it was important for us to have a rental car to use. Without our rental car, we wouldn’t have been able to do half of the things that we did.

When I was looking for a rental car to reserve once we arrived in Italy, I came across a great deal from Hertz. I ended up choosing that deal, and I was not disappointed. Once we arrived in Italy, Hertz made it easy to get our rental car from them right away.

Rent a Car in Italy Using Kayak

Filed under: Car Rental - 23 Oct 2008

While you may have thought that the title of this post was a typo, I actually meant exactly what I wrote. If you look closely, you will see that the title says “using Kayak” and not “using a Kayak.” The reason for that is because I’m not referring to the type of kayak that you paddle down a river; I’m talking about a website called Kayak.

Kayak is a third party travel website that allows you to compare prices from different online sources. In addition to flights, hotels and cruises, Kayak also allows you to compare prices on rental cars. If you are taking a trip to Italy and need a rental car, Kayak can be a great way to save money. All you have to do is visit the Kayak website and enter where you are going (along with the times you are arriving and departing). Kayak will then search over 140 different websites, and return the cheapest results for you to look at. Kayak also makes it easy to sort and filter the results you receive. Best of all, Kayak is free to use, so you can truly save the most money possible by using this website!

Stop Stressing Out About Car Rental in Italy

Filed under: Car Rental, Car Rental Italy - 07 Oct 2008

If you are stressing out about getting a rental car for your upcoming trip to Italy, it’s time to stop worrying. While you may think that getting a car rental in Italy is going to make you want to pull your hair out, as long as you go about it the right way, getting a rental car for a trip of any length in Italy is actually quite easy. Since I actually went through the process myself earlier this year, I thought I would share exactly what you need to do in order to secure a rental car for your trip to Italy.

When I had to find a rental car for my trip to Italy, I got online about a month before my trip and started browsing through the different travel websites (like Expedia and Orbtiz). By entering the details of my trip, these websites would show me the best rental car deals in Italy. After about thirty minutes of browsing, I came across an extremely good deal, so I decided to book it. When I arrived in Italy, I promptly picked up my rental car, and experienced no problems with the rental car during my entire time in Italy!

Find an Italy Car Hire Online

When you are taking a trip overseas, it is always a good idea to secure a reliable method of transportation ahead of time (especially if you have never visited the place you are going before). Therefore, during your preparations for a trip to Italy, one of the things you need to put on your list of tasks to take care of is figuring out how you are going to get around during your trip.

Although there are alternate methods of transportation, the easiest way to ensure that you have a reliable method of transportation is to reserve an Italy car hire. By having your own rental car to use, you will never have to worry about wasting time during your trip as a result of being unable to get somewhere that you want to go.

While you may be tempted to have a travel agent take care of your car hire for Italy, from my own experience, it is actually easier and much less expensive to get online and reserve your own Italian car hire. With just a little time, you will be able to reserve a rental car that will be waiting for you once you arrive in Italy.

Save Money on a Rental Car in Italy

Italy is a great place for individuals and families of all ages to visit. When I visited Italy, it was everything I had expected and more. Even though there were some parts of the traveling process that were quite stressful, nothing could negatively impact the enjoyment I experienced during my six days in Italy.

Since going to Italy is not a cheap experience (especially if you are taking your whole family with you), you will want to save money on your travel expenses whenever possible. One of the easiest travel expenses that you can save money on is renting a car. Thanks to the Internet, it is possible to get a rental car in Italy before you ever set foot there.

To find the best deal on a rental car in Italy, you will most likely want to use a price comparison website. You can also visit the individual websites of car rental companies, but from my experience it is quicker to use a price comparison website (using this method will also help you save the most money possible). Once you find the deal you want, simply reserve it and your rental car will be waiting for you in Italy!

A Few Tips for Italy Car Rental

Filed under: Car Rental, Car Rental Italy - 29 Aug 2008

If you are planning a trip to Italy, you have undoubtedly heard of the reputation Italian drivers have earned for being wild on the road. While there is some truth to this reputation, this does not mean that renting a car in Italy is a bad idea. In fact, renting a car can be the most efficient way to get around Italy and see all the sights you have been reading about in books for so many years.

Since I rented a car when I visited Italy, I thought I would give you a few tips to ensure your Italy car rental experience goes smoothly. My first tip is to rent from a well known European company like Europcar. Renting from a well known company will ensure that you don’t run into any unexpected problems with things like service or communication.

My second tip for Italy car rental is to use a GPS. If you have a GPS (or a device with a GPS that will work in Italy, such as a global cellphone), bring it with you. If not, most major rental companies will rent you a GPS or a car that is equipped with a GPS. It will cost a little extra, but the price is well worth the time it will save you by keeping you from getting lost!

Why I Recommend Car Rental in Italy

Filed under: Car Rental - 25 Aug 2008

From books to movies, Italy is always portrayed as a beautiful and wonderful place to visit. After traveling to Italy four months ago for the first time, I can say that it lives up to the reputation that it has been given by authors and directors. I got to spend six amazing days in Italy, and words really can’t describe what a wonderful time I had while I was there.

Although I could almost write a book about my time in Italy and all my recommendations for other people who are planning to go there, I have one especially important tip that I want to share with you today. If you get the opportunity to travel to Italy (if you haven’t ever been there, I highly recommend moving it to the top of your wish list), you really need to rent a car. I rented a car when I went to Italy because a friend who had been there numerous times told me that I should, and after spending six days exploring Italy, I know that I wouldn’t have seen a lot of what I did if I wouldn’t have had a rental car to use for transportation.

Car Rental Italy

If you’re planning an exciting Italian vacation, make sure that you plan everything in advance. This includes a car rental in Italy. Making your vacation the best possible is much easier to do when you do not have to rely on mass transit options of hotel/resort shuttles. While these can convenient at times, seeing all there is to see in Italy will require that you have a good car rental in Italy.

There are a few items of interest for those choosing to rent a car while in Italy, though. One of these is that you will need an International Driving Permit. To get one of these, you simply need to show proof of a state or national driver’s license from your home country. In addition, you need to contact your insurance company and determine if your coverage extends overseas.

If your insurance coverage will extend to a car rental in Italy, you can save some serious money. One of the most expensive items in any car rental is the insurance that the company offers. Some companies will make you feel as though you must purchase their insurance, though if your own policy is in effect, you need not worry about this aspect.

Another thing to consider about getting a car rental in Italy is the duration for which you’ll need the vehicle. Longer durations can sometimes get you a cheaper per day rate, while shorter duration rentals will be at full price. Check with your company about your car rental in Italy to determine the best cost configuration for your needs.

Italy Car Rental

An Italy car rental can be the best way to see the sights around this historic nation. With your own vehicle, you can spend as much time marveling at the Coliseum or the Papal Palace as you wish, with no time constraints but those that you set for yourself. Finding an Italy car rental company is actually quite easy. You can find many of these companies online. You may also be surprised to learn that there are a number of familiar companies to be found in the Italian countryside.

Both Hertz and Enterprise Rent a Car maintain a strong presence in Italy, as do Avis and Budget. You can find Thrifty Rental Cars and, of course, you can use an Italian car rental company for your needs. Choosing the right company for you will mean defining your needs. If you are looking for an exotic Italy car rental, your best bet will be some of the local rental companies, but if you simply want a reliable vehicle to drive through the Italian hills, you can find a much wider array of options.

In addition, knowing the size needed for your Italy car rental will help as well. If you need a larger vehicle, such as a full size van or extended minivan, it is highly recommended that you book your reservations well in advance. Many companies keep a limited supply of certain vehicle types on hand, so you’ll want your name down as soon as possible. With the right preparations, you can get a great Italy car rental for your trip.
