From books to movies, Italy is always portrayed as a beautiful and wonderful place to visit. After traveling to Italy four months ago for the first time, I can say that it lives up to the reputation that it has been given by authors and directors. I got to spend six amazing days in Italy, and words really can’t describe what a wonderful time I had while I was there.

Although I could almost write a book about my time in Italy and all my recommendations for other people who are planning to go there, I have one especially important tip that I want to share with you today. If you get the opportunity to travel to Italy (if you haven’t ever been there, I highly recommend moving it to the top of your wish list), you really need to rent a car. I rented a car when I went to Italy because a friend who had been there numerous times told me that I should, and after spending six days exploring Italy, I know that I wouldn’t have seen a lot of what I did if I wouldn’t have had a rental car to use for transportation.
