Italy is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world. Therefore, if you get an opportunity to take a trip there, you would be crazy to not take advantage of the opportunity that is presented to you. I know I had always dreamed of visiting Italy, and although I didn’t know if that dream was ever going to come true, I was fortunate enough to take my first trip to Italy earlier this year.

Even though I think it’s great to read some travel books in preparation for your time in Italy, nothing within any book can really convey what it’s like to be in Italy. While you may see a picture in a book, the experience you will have when you see it in person will be so much more significant than any reaction you could ever have to a picture that you view in a book.

The best piece of advice that I can give you about taking a trip to Italy is to savor every moment that you are there. Your trip may feel like it flies by, but if you enjoy every moment you get, you will always have lots of great memories to reflect on.
